Microsoft Your Phone app

Microsoft’s October update for its Operating System is packing some pretty cool features Windows users. Among those features is a Your Phone app that will allow users to send SMS text messages from their PCs. The October update also includes some bug fixes to improve the OS performance.

The Windows Your Phone app will allow giving access to Android Phones’ images, notifications, and SMS services. With app’s SMS capabilities, you will be able to send and receive text messages, record voice messages, move images between your Desktop and smartphone, and create group chats. Currently the Your Phone app is only compatible with Android, but it is possible the app will be compatible with iOS in future updates.

Some of the bug fixed in this release include quicker resume from hibernation, an issue with HDR videos being clipped, and Windows Hello loading quicker from the “Getting Ready” phase. Also, the watermark of the build from the lower right of the desktop has also been removed.
