My Adidas: Nike Stock Drops as Company Takes anti-American Stance

Wasn’t the NFL’s drop in revenue over the past 2 seasons enough evidence?

Wasn’t the populist Trump movement and it’s slogan, “Make America Great Again” clear enough?

Nike, the sports apparel powerhouse, just decided to do the unthinkable and spit in the face of patriotic Americans everywhere. The results were immediately felt, as NIKE stock dropped 3.16 percent on Tuesday as news broke that disgraced former NFL Quarterback Colin Kaepernick was tapped to become the face of it’s new “Just Do It” campaign around a message of “Believe in Something, Even if it means Sacrificing Everything.”

The NFL, which has had a sloppy and inconsistent response to Kaepernick’s movement, which is based around NFL players kneeling during the national anthem, had already lost an estimated $500 million by the fall of 2017 as a result of the protests as reports that over 1 million viewers had tuned out the league was spreading.

Political protests during a time of divide in our country is never a recipe for success in business. Why Nike decided that now was the time, and Colin Kaepernick was the man is beyond comprehension.

It doesn’t take a genius to surmise that Nike’s loss will be Adidas’, Converse’s, and Reebok’s gain. Pure foolishness….
