VoteVets Disgracefully Uses Veterans To Push Liberal Agenda

Progressive organization VoteVets has launched an ad campaign urging legislators to block the nomination of Gina Haspel for Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. The campaign ties their message to the criticism of Haspel by Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.

“What kind of country are we? Stand with John McCain against torture. Block Haspel,” the ad says.

McCain was captured and tortured during the Vietnam War. This has been mentioned many times by President Trump when campaigning for President. McCain criticized Haspel on May 9th.

“Ms. Haspel’s role in overseeing the use of torture by Americans is disturbing,” McCain said in a  statement.

Haspel, who is a CIA veteran, ran a CIA black site that conducted “enhanced interrogation” techniques that many dispute are torture.

The 30-second ad will run in Washington, D.C. during Liberal MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Fake News CNN’s “New Day,” and Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, The Hill reports.

According to their mission statement, VoteVets is focusing “on matters including, but not limited to, foreign policy, energy security, veterans’ unemployment, and opening military service to life-long Americans born to undocumented immigrants, as well as continued investment in care for veterans.”
