Trump Speech in Saudi Arabia Well Received in America

Twitter and Facebook were buzzing Sunday morning after President Trump, in delivering what you can call a toned down speech in Saudi Arabia, seemed to chart a new course in the history of our relations with the Muslim world.

He called for a coalition of nations to “Stamp out extremists.” In reaching out somewhat graciously in an attempt to fortify relations with our Muslim allies, he refused to use the phrase, “radical Islamic terrorism.” This may be perceived as a softening in his tone as diplomatic negotiations begin for the next 3 plus years.

While the tone and content of his speech will be debated for weeks to come, ultimately whether or not a true shift in the war on terror and our overall perception in the Arab nations remains to be seen as the situation in Syria and the future of the Iran Nuclear deal are settled.
